COMPETITION CONDITIONS

The entries are subject to the following conditions. The following are the basic conditions that must be fulfilled and will be taken into consideration during the assessment process:

-The product or innovation must be designed, developed and produced only within the borders of Turkey. It must also have been completed and launched or planned to be launched by 2024 at the latest.

-The product offered must be manufactured using plastic materials originating from commercial or industrial activities that can be recycled after consumer use. Materials directly recycled in the company's production process are excluded from this definition. Entrants are expected to clearly and precisely state the source of the recycled material used, with evidence available upon request.

-The product applied for must contain at least 25% recycled content in its components.

-The product must be prepared using traditional plastics as the main material.

-It is mandatory that a maximum of 2 years have passed since the product applied for was put on the market and a maximum of 4 years have passed since the development of the proposed technology or machine.

-The products provided must have a recyclable structure. In order to gain recyclable status, the plastics should fulfil the following four basic criteria:

· The plastic in the composition of the product must be sourced from a material source that does not require collection efforts, is valued by the market and/or supported by legal obligations.

· The product concerned must be suitable for re-evaluation and reprocessing by commercial procedures and processes covering recycling technical methods.

· The product must be designed in such a way that it can be separated and collected in accordance with specific recycling streams for successful recycling.

· The recycled plastic must be of a quality that will allow it to be used as a primary raw material in the production of new products.

Projects submitted by entrants should serve the preservation of ecological balance, efficient use of resources and circular economy principles. They should also include elements such as suitability for a specific industrial and market purpose, as well as the ability to meet current and potential market needs.

ASSESSMENT PROCESS

The application assessment procedure works as follows: In the first stage, all applications are analysed for general eligibility and whether they meet the specific requirements for the categories. Applications that fulfil the criteria are deemed eligible and shortlisted for the next process.

In the second stage of the assessment, finalists are asked for additional information that will enable the jury members to further deepen their scrutiny. Each application will be scored against specific criteria, with valued standards including characteristics such as recyclability and innovation.

At the end of the assessment process, the entries with the highest total score are deemed worthy of the award. In case of equality in points, the jury president is authorised to determine the winner.

If any jury member has a conflict of interest during the assessment process, he/she must withdraw from the assessment of the relevant category in accordance with the principle of independence.

DISCLAIMER STATEMENT

Duplicate applications will not be evaluated. Each application can only be evaluated under one category. In case of any hesitation in category selection, participants are kindly requested to contact the organising team. The jury committee reserves the right to direct the applications to different categories if it deems appropriate.

We would like to emphasise that applications with incomplete or insufficient information will be disqualified. Each section of the application form must be filled in carefully and completely. The organising team reserves the right to reject an application due to possible incompleteness.

The submitted data will be examined by the organiser (PAGÇEV) and the jury panel and the confidentiality of the submitted information will be guaranteed. Any sensitive information regarding the products or innovations submitted in the application will be protected according to the highest standards of confidentiality.
